Website Editing

Hey girls, just wanted to let you know I looked over the Website and it looks good. I made a couple changes to the precipitation page and I looked over all the pages to make sure they had the same font style and size. If you need anything else done just let me know, otherwise I will see you tomorrow at 11.

e-MAIL from Kelsey

Hey girls. I e-mail Kelsey with some minor formatting glitches I've been having. She said to "Ask Lisa to link titles like she did the last url on her Severe Weather Page."

Original Item?

Kristi,
Was the listening for weather lesson that you put on the predictions page and original item? or was it a lesson from the class? If it was, let me know asap, so i can create something new to put up!

Web Site pages

I am working on the Precipitation and the Weather Patterns Pages (the second lesson plans will go on this page). Also, don't forget that we are meeting in Sangren Lab at 4:00 on Wednesday. I will try to have both pages finished before then and have them ready for final formatting that day.

Website

I haven't done much work on it either. I kinda feel lost as to where to start. I think we were supposed to come to class with a rough outline of what each page is going to look like, right? We weren't supposed to have it completed or anything... I hope! I figured I could put together the introductory page and the precipitation page, if you girls don't mind.

website

I was thinking that I could do the severe weather page considering its mostly mine anyways. Other than that it doesn't really matter to me :] let me know if/what you guys prefer.

Web site Q's

Hey girls, just wondering if you have done any thinking about the Web site? Are there any pages you two really want to do? I am going to try to work on it later today or tomorrow so if you girls could let me know what pages you want to do or any ideas you came up with, that would be great. Thanks!

Outline of what we talked about 11/15

1)Title Page
2)PBL Intro , inspiration map, podcast
3) precipitation- Kristi LP #1 on water cycle and video on water cycle
4)Sever Michigan weather- Formation of Tornado(lisa) Safety tips (new!) Tornado video (lisa)
5) Weather World Wide- 3 graphs , The reason for the seasons (new!)
6) Patterns and Predictions- Tools (new!) Cloud Video (Tabby) Cloud Poem (tabby)

Remember we need 2 new ideas per page, as well as 1 new example per page. Each person has two pages. We need to include our LP 1, graph, video, podcast, inspiration map, and sites used on web evals.
This is a tentative outline of what we came up with in class. We still need one more page and we need to decide who is doing what over break.

Website - 11/15

Lisa,

Tabby and I started working on the Website today. We started planning a layout for each page and how we're going ot add in each assignment. Tabby wrote out the information and she'll be putting it on here later. If you have any questions just put it on here or e-mail us.

Class on 11/8/10

Hey Tabby,

We had to choose when we wanted to present our website during finals week. Kristi and I chose Monday, December 13, at 11 AM for our first choice. Our second choice was the same Monday except at 4 PM. We also chose Tuesday, December 14, at 11 AM as our third. We need to know if these times, or at least the first one will work for you. Let us know ASAP so we can let Kelsey know of any changes. If the times do not work with your exam schedule, under week 9 for our class, there is a link to the exam spots available as well as the WMU exam schedule, so you will need to figure out what will work for you and let us know... Mondays seemed to work the best for Kristi and I so hopefully that works for you too!! Just let us know!

Weather Tools and Regions (Inspiration Map)

Hey Lisa, here is my list of tools and regions to put in the inspiration map. I included definitions but you don't have to put those in. I wasn't sure about the regions so I just listed what I could think of. You don't have to add all of them either. Let me know if you need more than that though.

6. Anemometer - measures wind speed
7. Weather satellites

Regions:

North America
South America
Australia
Asia
Europe
Africa

Deserts
Rain forests
Tundra
Forests
Tropical areas

Missed Class and Questions

Hey girls, sorry I missed class. My car broke down back home and I did not get back to Kalamazoo till today. Anyway, I looked over the instructions for Assignment 3, but I'm not sure I understand exactly what I am supposed to do. I know I have to choose three websites to review, but what am I looking for and do I have to write something out? If 0ne of you could get back to me and let me know what I missed and what I have to do, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
